Samsung & LG TV
Indian IPTV on Samsung and LG smart TVs
No stick or box: an app from your TV's own store is enough for many homes.
Short answer
On a Samsung or LG set, an app such as IBO Player, Smart IPTV or SmartOne does the job. Give it your Xtream Codes details, or the M3U link if that is all it accepts, then reopen the app. A few TV players ask for a one-off fee after their own trial; that money goes to the developer.
Step by step
Setting up your smart TV
Open the app store
Samsung: Apps in the Smart Hub. LG: the LG Content Store.
Install a player
Search for IBO Player, Smart IPTV or SmartOne.
Note the MAC or device ID
Many TV players show a MAC address or device ID and ask you to add the playlist on the app maker's website.
Add your login
Xtream Codes server, username and password, or the M3U link from your email, depending on the app.
Restart the app
Close and reopen it; channels and the guide load in a few minutes.
| App | Login type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| IBO Player | Xtream Codes or M3U | Tidy layout; the developer handles activation |
| Smart IPTV | M3U only | You upload the playlist on the developer's site using the TV's MAC |
| SmartOne | Xtream Codes or M3U | Shows a device ID on its first screen |

Which is better, the TV app or a Firestick?
